March 2015
We have a change in committee positions after election of office at our AGM.
Daniel Maloney is now a chieftain.
Lorna O’Leary is now a committee member.
Bill Solich is now a committee member.
Bev, Rhonda and I were re-elected for another term; we look forward to the challenge.
67 members and visitors attended our AGM/Ceilidh. The most in a long time!
Remember our picnic on the 15th of March at Whiteman Park. Shelter X Mussel Pool 11.am start.
Our April Ceilidh falls on Anzac Day evening; we are having a military dress theme so dig out that old memorabilia.
Dances will include: Dashing White Sergeant, Military Two Step, Reel of The 51st, Reel of The Royal Scots and Australian Ladies.
We will be practicing these dances at our dance classes.
We had our first dance class on Friday the 6th of March, and what a turn out with 25 people; the most ever at a dance class.
Heel & Toe band have confirmed that they can play at all our Ceilidhs for the year.
For those who cannot make our dance classes we are going to hold a dance walk through course at 7:30pm before the Ceilidh. First dances will be Domino Five, Good hearted Glasgow and the Reel of the 51st.
