April 2015
Hi all,
I hope you are all in good health and if not I wish you a speedy recovery.
We are approaching the midyear already. How time flies!
As a recap, our March picnic was a great success and those who attended had a great time; Plenty of food to go around.
we had dance sets on the grass and it was great pleasure to have the Kalamunda Pipe Band playing for us. As a last minute surprise Daniel performed a sword dance.
We have booked the shelter at Whiteman Park again for our October picnic, which will be held on Sunday the 18th of October.
Our ANZAC Ceilidh was a great success. People dressed for the occasion, war relics were displayed and the dance floor was full for most dances. Thanks goes out to the Heel ‘n’ Toe Band and Leo for providing the live entertainment.
The dance classes are going great and we are averaging about 20 people per session.
Our dance walkthroughs prior to our Ceilidhs have been well received. Thanks go out to Lorna and Daniel for their time to instruct the members.
As a treat we are going to have a Christmas in July theme for our July Ceilidh with a red and green dress theme and decorations. Supper will be at 9:00pm with Xmas theme foods and we hope to get a good turn out.
Looking forward to seeing you all at our May and June Ceilidhs.
